Tania - "India Is the Most Promiscuous of Countries That I Have Seen So
Far"
"Butt Seriously" is the headline on the latest interview with
Tania
Zaetta, this one from the Times of India. It continues in
similarly serious vein:
You could bounce quarters off her pert posterior, but TANIA ZAETTA looks
'back' on a life well spent.
Groan.
It's a Q&A stretching over four web pages. Here's one of the questions:
You were voted to have one of the five most sexiest butts alongside
Elle Macpherson, Cameron Diaz and Liz Hurley. Do you feel such polls
assessing women's body parts should exist?
Why not? It is better than somebody voting me for the worst butt. Believe it
or not, every boy or girl has a girlie spread stashed away under the sheets.
India is the most promiscuous of countries that I have seen so far.

"I Can't Wait to Fall in Love" - Tania Latest
DNA
India interviews
Tania
Zaetta about her latest project - "shaking a leg" with Bhangra pop
sensation Harbhajan Mann in the forthcoming Punjabi film "Dil Apna Punjabi,"
in which she also sings.
She’s candid about her personal plans. “I can’t wait to fall in love, get
married and have children. But until all the qualities I love in a person
come along, I’ll fly solo. Plus (giggling), I like guys who are big and
rugged, yet passionate and loyal, who love being outdoors — that’s a hard
combination to find in India.”

Australian Chick Sings
Bombay's GlamSham.com website reports that "Salaam Namaste babe
Tania Zaetta" is now trying her hand - or her voice - at
singing.
This Australian chick...has just completed filming her first song
sequence as a celebrity guest with Harbhajan Mann directed by Manmohan
Singh.
According to reports in a section of media, she has turned down many item
number offers in the past as she felt the timing wasn't right. Also she was
waiting for the right song to come her way and now that she has already
completed 2 Bollywood films on the acting side she doesn't mind doing an
item number.

Calcutta Gets to See a Sizzling Australian Actress
Now
that the Commonwealth Games are over, this website would run out of material
if it weren't for
Tania Zaetta. Her latest appearance is in Calcutta's The Telegraph,
which writes:
It’s not every night that Calcutta gets to see a sizzling Australian
actress flaunting body paint and bare essentials on the bartop.
So when Tania Zaetta opened the show at Tantra at midnight, the otherwise
lukewarm Calcutta crowd was seen cheering and clapping lustily.
The Salaam Namaste babe was beautifully painted, from her neck to her high
boots, with bronze and silver floral motifs on a black base.

Brett Dreams of Bollywood
Aussie cricket star
Brett Lee has a dream:
Brett
Lee’s love for everything that is Indian is well known. The tearaway
Australian fast bowler Brett Lee said that the one thing he loved above all
about India was Bollywood.
“I don’t want to act in Hollywood, I want to act in Bollywood,” he said.
And whom does he want to be his co-star?
“No doubt, the big B [superstar Amitabh Bachchan]. I mean, he is a great icon and he loves his cricket,”
he said.

Bollywood in the Goldfields
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation interviews Bollywood actor
Neil Bhoolpalam during his visit to Kalgoorlie, heart of the Australian
mining industry. He was apparently visiting family. It's an incredibly bland
interview, in which we learn little about Neil. But we do hear how Bollywood
got its name.

Under the Open Sky
"Hooray for Bollywood" headlines the
Port Macquarie News. It seems Bollywood has "rocked into town," in
the form of director Jawed Sheihk and his movie crew, to shoot "Under the
Open Sky," a love story about a Pakistani boy who falls in love with an
Indian girl.
The director said he fell in love with Port Macquarie after first visiting
in December last year.
"All that I'm saying about Port Macquarie is coming from the heart," he
told the Port News.
"When I visited here in December to see if this would be a suitable shooting
location, I got so excited.

Tania Mania
Sydney's Daily Telegraph seems to agree with my
observation (below) that
Tania Zaetta sure knows how to gain publicity:
TANIA "I'm big in India"
Zaetta really does seem to be big in India. At least the evidence just keeps
stacking up.
After reports of being mobbed by fans in Mumbai, not to mention the Indians
creating a special Zaetta shoe after her, Australia's very own Bollywood
queen stepped out on the catwalk as the highlight of the Wills India Fashion
Week show yesterday.
Zaetta was the toast, or shall we say papadam, of New Delhi's glitterati as
she stepped out painted in the print of a dress for the Bhargaoa collection.
"It took four people five hours to do this so it has been a very early start
for me," she said.
Well, who dares wins. And Zaetta obviously does.

How Does Tania Do It?
I wrote a few days ago (scroll down) about Tania Zaetta's methods for
attracting publicity. All I can say is, they work.
Here's
Mumbai Newsline: "Mumbai’s Puri had all the necessary jazz—it began with
a belly dancer and ended with starlet Tania Zaetta on the ramp"
Delhi
Newsline: "Niki Mahajan and Mumbai designer Pria Kataria Puri’s
inaugural show took off with a gyrating belly dancer and ended with starlet
Tania Zaetta lending a touch of glamour."
New
Kerala:
For Australian-born model and upcoming actress Tania Zaetta, it was an
experience to remember.
"This (body paint) fits in perfectly with Neeta's designs. She is known for
taking pen and paper and making designs and putting them on fabric. So,
instead of that, she's put it on me. It took four people five hours to do
this so it has been a very early start for me," Zaetta said.
DNA
India: "Parvez Damania (in a green suit) looked happy to watch Tania
Zaetta in her body painted floral get-up for Neeta Bhargava."

Getting onto Page 3 in Bollywood
How do you attract publicity (or, in local lingo, make it onto Page 3) in
crowded Bollywood?
Tania
Zaetta explains:
When I came to Bombay from London, I didn’t know anyone. So, I decided to
build up my network by going to parties. It’s extremely difficult to get on
to Page 3. Firstly, getting invited to these parties and then attracting the
attention of photographers.
Craziest Page 3 stunt I’ve seen: Bombay is still very tame when it comes to
pulling stunts to get on to Page 3. When I was in London, it was completely
outrageous. Women going topless, getting out of limousines and raising their
skirts for photographers to get a preview of their underwear, taking off
long jackets at the first sight of a photographer, to reveal only lingerie
underneath.

God Has Been So, So Kind
Bollywood stars Rani Mukherjee, Saif Ali Khan and Sonu Nigam
"just
can't get over the overwhelming response" to their performance at the
Commonwealth Games closing ceremony in Melbourne, according to the
Glamsham.com website, which headlines its report, "Bollywood Gushes Over
Melbourne Show."
Sonu gives the entire credit for the Indian entourage's spectacular
performance to the organisers Wizcraft.
"Everything was so fabulously arranged. A lot of effort went into the
preparation. I don't know if we can pull off the 2010 Commonwealth Games in
Delhi with the same level of professionalism... Australian newspapers and TV
channels rated our finale performance as the best. The taxi drivers here (in
Melbourne) are saying the same. God has been so, so kind."

Colourful, Mesmerising and Shameless - Bollywood Rocks Melbourne
Thank goodness for
Bollywood (and John Farnham). Last night's Commonwealth Games closing
ceremony was marked by boring speeches and trite music. Even the wonderful
Dame Edna Everage was silly. But along came some high-powered Bollywood
dynamite to wake us all up, and then Melbourne's own John Farnham closed the
show with a bang.
Here's what the papers said. First, the
Adelaide Advertiser:
Arguably the most spectacular part of the show was the 11-minute segment
showcasing New Delhi's 2010 Commonwealth Games, which started with hundreds
of dancers performing to northern Indian Bhangra music - synonymous with
celebration.
They were joined by Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee, who
heralded the arrival of a grand chariot float drawn by puppet horses. Shera,
the Indian tiger mascot of the Delhi games, rode on the float with India's
Miss Universe 2000 Lara Dutta and Miss World 2000 Priyanka Chopra.
The Age:
Then came the much-hyped Bollywood extravaganza. It was colourful, and
somewhat mesmerising, but the Indian tourism ads playing shamelessly on the
big screen at the same time killed the mystique.
IBN Live:
Delhi rocks. And it did splendidly on the Commonwealth stage on Sunday to
welcome the Games to the Walled City in 2010.
....The 11-minute extravaganza had the who's who of Bollywood and several
sports maestros showcasing the best of India in a glittering and glamorous
bash, which left the 80,000-strong crowd mesmerised.
The
Herald Sun:
An 11-minute burst of Bollywood glamour, courtesy of Delhi 2010
Commonwealth Games organisers, provided an exotic and well-received
interlude.
The
India Times:
Bollywood beauties, singers and sporting heroes joined hands as India
showcased its diverse culture, magnificent landscape and rich heritage
during a brief presentation at the closing ceremony of the 18th Commonwealth
Games on Sunday.
And finally, the
Sydney Morning Herald:
And so to New Delhi, for the 2010 Games. As last night's extended
Bollywood section confirmed, they should be spectacularly colourful; as the
preceding media launch suggested, they may also be several days late.
